At 11:53 p.m. Wednesday, an officer responded to a report from the Ohio State Highway Patrol that there was a cow in the roadway on Uniontown-Flushing Road. The officer did not locate the cow.

At 9:05 p.m. Wednesday, an officer on a traffic stop on Hanover Street in Martins Ferry issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for failure to use a turn signal and for traveling outside of marked lanes.

At 7:37 p.m. Wednesday, a manager from Rural King on Mall Ring Road in St. Clairsville called to report that there was a customer screaming that there was a male with a gun. The manager advised that she did not believe there was any danger and thought that the customer was “just messing around,” according to the report. Officers responded but did not come into contact with the subject.

At 7:35 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to the area of Pike 40 on National Road in Morristown for a report from the Ohio State Highway Patrol about an automobile accident involving a deer strike. The accident involved property damage only to a motorist from Ohio. The officer did not locate the deer.

At 7:06 p.m. Wednesday, officers went to an address on Lafferty Road in Bannock to serve a misdemeanor warrant. One male was taken to jail.

At 5:49 p.m. Wednesday, an officer was out at Mall Road in St. Clairsville with an occupied disabled vehicle. An Ohio truck driver with a box trailer was working on getting a tow, according to the report.

At 5:47 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy on a traffic stop on Interstate 70 eastbound in Morristown issued a warning to a Pennsylvania motorist for failure to use a turn signal.

At 2:58 p.m. Wednesday, a complainant came to the station to report that after firing an employee, they had a volatile discussion. A male reportedly had a firearm holstered and in his lap while in his vehicle. A deputy was advised that the situation had de-escalated, and the complainant just wanted the information on file.

At 2:37 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to an address on Ohio Street-Ferryview in Martins Ferry on a request for a welfare check on a male. Home health was unable to make contact with him, according to the report. Officers reported hearing machines going off, but were unable to make contact with the male. Officers made contact with a son, who said he would stop by later to check on him.

At 1:16 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to an address on Rocky Fork Road in Jacobsburg to assist an emergency medical service squad with a male who was possibly under cardiac arrest. At 1:41 p.m., it was reported as a DOA. The county coroner released the body to the funeral home. A detective was notified.

At 1 p.m. Wednesday, deputies assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol on an accident on Interstate 70 westbound near mile marker 213 in St. Clairsville involving two vehicles – one registered in Kentucky and another registered in West Virginia. The accident involved improper lane change, the report indicated, noting that the OSHP took over the scene.

At 3:33 a.m. Wednesday, units responded to Belle Village Apartments on Patterson Hill Road in Bellaire after a caller reported that someone stole her phone and charger. According to the officers, all parties at the location were intoxicated and were arguing.

At 12:02 a.m. Wednesday, a caller reported that someone was flying a drone over his house on Barton Road in Colerain. According to an officer, this was a deer recovery drone.

At 12:02 a.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to Colerain Pike in Martins Ferry for a report of a vehicle fire.
