At 11:13 p.m. Wednesday, a caller from Pilot Travel Center on Belmont-Morristown Road reported that a semi was on pump 18 since 8 p.m. Employees had knocked on the door and had gotten no answer. An officer responded and reported that the male had been asleep and he had left.

At 9:52 p.m. Wednesday, an anonymous caller reported that he witnessed someone in a vehicle drop off a dog on the side of the road near the Dilles Bottom off ramp in Powhatan Point. An officer patrolled the area but found nothing.

At 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy reported that a deer struck his vehicle while on National Road in St. Clairsville near Mehlman’s Cafeteria. The vehicle only sustained damage to the right side mirror, according to the report.

At 7:08 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to the area outside of Five Below at the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville for a report of an accident between two vehicles with property damage only. Information was taken for a crash report.

At 7:06 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported that someone entered his residence on Regoli Road in Glencoe and took some tools. Officers responded and took information for a report.

At 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy on a traffic stop on Interstate 470 east near mile marker 3 in Pultney Township issued a warning to a West Virginia motorist for failure to use a turn signal and for driving outside of marked lanes.

At 6:47 p.m. Wednesday, a caller from an address in Dysart Woods reported that a naked couple has been coming onto his property. The caller was not on the property at the time of the call and was unsure if the couple was there currently, according to the report. The complainant was advised to call back when they are on his property.

At 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to an address on Church Street in Bridgeport after a 911 call was received with an open line. On the call, an older male could be heard yelling for 911. A younger male called back and stated that everything was fine. The male was trying to contact his sister about housing, according to the male. At 3:32 p.m., a squad was requested at this address. One male was taken to the emergency room by a friend, and an officer contacted a deputy in North Carolina for a possible welfare check on his sister.

At 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported the theft of a mountain bike from her residence on National Road in Bridgeport. A deputy took information for a theft report.

At 2:05 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy on a traffic stop on Aetna Street in Martins Ferry issued a verbal warning to an Ohio motorist for making an unsafe lane change.

At 1:41p.m. Wednesday, a deputy on a traffic stop on Neffs-Bellaire Road near Bellaire Middle School in Pultney Township issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for a window tint violation and for having an incorrect vehicle tag.

At 1:38 p.m. Wednesday, a lieutenant was out at an address on Colerain Road after a 911 hangup call was received. A male was located in the garage, and he was fine, according to the report.

At 11:55 a.m. Wednesday, an officer at the Belmont County Jail reported that drugs were found in the jail.

At 9:35 a.m. Wednesday, a caller from the Belle Village Apartments on Patterson Hill Road in Bellaire reported that a pop machine in the laundry room had been vandalized. The complainant asked to see a deputy. An officer responded and took pictures and information for a vandalism report.

At 8:36 a.m. Wednesday, a caller reported that a neighbor knocked on her door saying a male had come to her house and was drunk, trying to steal a wallet and a phone. A squad was requested for the female, and a representative from the animal shelter was requested for a pit bull. The female’s 8-year-old son rode with the female in the squad. Units went to Yorkville to find the other party. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was also en route. Officers made attempts to contact the male.

At 9:33 a.m. Wednesday, a caller requested a welfare check on a male at an address on Johnson North Road in Bethesda. An EMS squad also responded. The male voluntarily went with the squad for an evaluation.

At 6:02 a.m. Wednesday, a caller reported that a male was seen on the floor of the seating area of Sheetz on Addie Way in St. Clairsville. Workers attempted to wake him up. Deputies were requested to respond.

At 2:03 a.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to an address on Bracken Road in Martins Ferry for a report of a male with a knife. Upon arrival, the officers reported that the male did not have a knife, but had marks on his arm and was in need of medical attention. The male had a warrant out of Ohio County and he was taken to the Belmont County Jail.
