JVS students attend SkillsUSA conference

Thirteen students from the Jefferson County Joint Vocational School attended the SkillsUSA Fall Leadership Conference in Columbus on Nov. 20-21, where pupils Chloee McCartney and Trenton Hess were elected regional officers for the southeastern district of Ohio. Their positions will be determined during an upcoming conference in Deer Creek. Meanwhile, Tucker Winski, Kenny Bloom, Katie Rivers, and Gianna Roderique served as voting delegates and helped promote the candidates during the conference. The remaining students attended a variety of sessions which included topics on Leadership 101, listening and communication skills, social media, and project management.
