At 11:42 p.m. Monday, units responded to an address on Commercial Drive in Bridgeport for a report of smoke coming from the building.
At 7:05 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a verbal domestic incident at the Red Roof Inn on Red Roof Lane in St. Clairsville. Nothing physical occurred, according to the report. The male who was involved was given a ride to apartments in Martins Ferry.
At 7:04 p.m. Monday, an officer responded to an address on Charleston Lane in St. Clairsville to check on the welfare of an animal as the humane officer was out for the day.
At 6:30 p.m. Monday, a caller from an address on Everett Turner Dory Mill Road in Bethesda reported that her daughter was at her house trying to steal things. Officers responded and reported that this was a civil issue.
At 4:59 p.m. Monday, deputies responded to an address on Elm Street in Bridgeport for a report of an upset homeowner. The problem was fixed, according to the report, which listed the nature of the incident as a fire.
At 1:59 p.m. Monday, an officer on a traffic stop at the Bel-Capri Apartments in Bellaire issued a warning to a motorist for speeding.
At 1:12 p.m. Monday, a deputy responded to an address on National Road in St. Clairsville for a two-vehicle accident with property damage only. Both drivers exchanged information.
At 12:33 p.m. Monday, a deputy performed a welfare check on a student at an address on Vine Street in Bellaire. The officer reported that the student will be in school the next day, according to the report.
At 12:19 p.m. Monday, an officer on a traffic stop on Guernsey Street at 32nd Street in Pultney Township issued a warning to a motorist for speeding.
At 12:12 p.m. Monday, a deputy on a traffic stop on Guernsey Street in Bellaire issued a warning to a motorist for speeding.
At 12:10 p.m. Monday, a deputy responded to a report of a suspicious male at the Ohio Valley Mall on Mall Ring Road in St. Clairsville. The deputy took the male to the Red Roof Inn, and police gave him a hotel voucher, the report indicated.
At 11:50 p.m. Monday, an officer on a traffic stop on Pike Street in Bellaire issued a warning to a motorist for speeding.
At 10:11 a.m. Monday, deputies responded to the Village Network on National Road in Morristown for a report of a fight. One male juvenile was taken into custody.
At 9:15 p.m. Monday, a deputy responded to an address on Barnesville-Hendrysburg Road in Barnesville for a welfare check on a male. The subject was not located.
At 7:57 p.m. Monday, a deputy on a traffic stop on Interstate 470 near Ohio 214 issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for driving left of center and for driving while on the phone.
At 7:51 p.m. Monday, a deputy responded to Morristown Pharmacy and Home Care on Belmont-Morristown Road in Belmont for a report of a tractor-trailer in the lot that damaged a sign. Staff was taking care of the driver, who was having a medical emergency, according to officers. Information was taken for a report.
At 1:57 p.m. Monday, a caller at an address on East Lawn Avenue in St. Clairsville reported that her boyfriend was beating up the washer and said he was going to kill her. The caller advised that the male was walking around the house with a blow torch stating that he was going to burn the place down. The male was possibly intoxicated, and there reportedly were multiple weapons in the house. The female ran outside away from the house in fear for her safety, according to the report. Officers responded along with units from the St. Clairsville Police Department, and the male was transported to the Belmont County Jail without further incident, according to the report. A deputy remained on the scene to collect a statement from the female.
