At 6:19 p.m. Tuesday, a sergeant responded to an address on National Road in Bridgeport on a request for a welfare check on an 80-year-old male who was not answering his phone and had not been seen for a few days. The officer made entry to the home and confirmed a DOA. A coroner was called to the scene, and a dog warden was also requested.
At 6:16 p.m. Tuesday, units responded to Valley Center Boulevard in St. Clairsville for a report of a motor vehicle accident between two vehicles with property damage only. Information was taken for a crash report.
At 4:44 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy was contacted about a male driver of a vehicle at the bottom of Rehm Road. The male was at the Hillside Motel. The Ohio State Highway Patrol was notified and was in charge of the case, which was listed as a motor vehicle accident with property damage only.
At 12:44 p.m. Tuesday, a complainant from an address on Reservoir Road in St. Clairsville came to the station to report credit card fraud. A credit card account was opened in her name, according to the complainant, who requested a call record about the incident. The card had not been used yet, according to the report.
At 11:06 a.m. Tuesday, an officer was out with a disabled vehicle in the roadway on Uniontown-Flushing Road. Bill’s Towing was called to the scene. One occupant was transported to their home at an address on Wood Street, the report stated.
At 10:41 a.m. Tuesday, a detective was out assisting units from the Bridgeport Police Department at a traffic stop on the Interstate 70 on ramp in Pease Township. A K-9 reportedly gave a positive indication on the vehicle, and a drug abuse instrument was located, according to the report.
At 2:02 a.m. Tuesday, a deputy assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with an accident on Interstate 70 east near mile marker 202 near Freeport in Kirkwood Township. The deputy transported three juveniles to the Ohio State Highway Patrol headquarters, the report indicated.
