Smithfield Township meeting

SMITHFIELD — The Smithfield Township Trustees will hold their monthly meeting on Feb. 2 at the Smithfield Township Police Building located on Main Street in Smithfield. The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. To be placed on the meeting agenda, please call 740-546-3079.

Belmont County cleanups set

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The JB Green Team 2026 Community Cleanups have been set and are open to the residents of Belmont and Jefferson Counties. The first cleanup in Belmont County will be on March 7 at Wheeling Township Garage in Fairpoint. Large household junk items such as furniture, grills and large plastic toys will be collected as will standard-sized tires. By law, residents are only allowed to haul 10 tires at a time. Those who come with large amounts of tires will not be accepted. Also, liquids, yard waste or hazardous waste materials will not be accepted. Electronics can be taken to the specified drop-off locations in each county. To find the closest location, please visit jbgreenteam.org/e-waste-drop-off-pilot-program. After the designated dates for e-waste collection, electronics will only be collected at the Warren Township collection on May 2 and at the Union Township collection only on May 19. The hazardous waste collection will be scheduled at a later date. All cleanups will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you have questions, please call the Belmont County office at 740-296-5376.

Belmont County Planning Commission meeting set

Belmont County Planning Commission’s next meeting will be held on Monday, Jan. 26 at noon at the Annex III building located at 101 North Market Street, St. Clairsville. There will not be a November meeting. Open to the public.

Reutilization Corporation meets

Belmont County Land Reutilization Corporation will hold their monthly meeting on Monday March 2 at 1 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Commissioner’s Meeting Room in the Belmont County Courthouse. The meeting will be open to the public.

Tri-County Water Authority report available for public

HARRISVILLE — The annual financial report of the Tri-County Water Authority for the Fiscal Year 2025, has been completed and is available for public inspection at the water office, located at 49350 Main Street, Harrisville,during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to noon or 12:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. A copy of the report will be provided upon request.

Flushing Township announces meetings for the new year

FLUSHING — Flushing Township Trustees will hold all 2026 regular meetings the first and third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Flushing Township Garage. If a meeting date needs to be rescheduled, the public will be informed.

Bridgeport Board of Education sets 2026 meeting calendar

BRIDGEPORT — The Bridgeport Exempted Village School District’s Calendar Year 2026 Board of Education Meetings on the following dates: Feb. 18, March 11, April 15, and May 13 at 6 p.m at the District Administration Office and June 30, July 22, Aug. 12, Aug. 26, Sept. 16, Oct. 14, Nov. 18, and Dec. 16 at 4:30 p.m in the Bridgeport High School Media Center.

Belmont-Harrison VSD board to hold regular meeting Jan. 26

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The Belmont-Harrison Vocational School District Board of Education will conduct its January organizational/regular board meeting on Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Belmont Career Center, 68090 Hammond Road, St. Clairsville. The public may also view the meeting online by accessing a link on the Belmont-Harrison Vocational School District website (www.bhccenters.com) or Facebook page.

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The Mental Health and Recovery Board announced its FY2025 Annual Board Report is available. Anyone wanting a copy can stop at the board office between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 104 Newell Ave., St. Clairsville, or call 740-695-9998 or email judih@bhmboard.org for a copy.
