At 11:48 p.m. Monday, a caller from an address on Bailey Road in Barnesville reported that people dressed in all black were knocking on his door before taking off on foot. The caller said he believed they were sitting in a car by a pond on his property. Officers located the vehicle. One male in the vehicle had three warrants, according to the report, which stated that narcotics and paraphernalia were found inside the vehicle. Matthew Darren Lusk was arrested and booked into the Belmont County Jail on charges of obstructing official business, resisting arrest and fugitive from justice. Kadessa Monique Shaver was arrested and booked on charges of obstructing official business, fugitive from justice, trafficking in drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

At 11:30 p.m. Monday, an officer on a traffic stop near Rural King in St. Clairsville issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for an unlisted traffic offense.

At 11:07 p.m. Monday, a detective performed a traffic stop on Main Street in Bridgeport and issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for a traffic control device violation.

At 11:04 p.m. Monday, a caller from an address on Ebbert South Road in St. Clairsville stated that she heard her garage door go up. An officer responded and reported that the garage door was up, but nothing seemed to be out of place. The deputy patrolled the area, but found nothing.

At 9:11 p.m. Monday, a detective assisted Bridgeport Police with a call about a vehicle that was broken down and blocking the roadway on Marion Street in Bridgeport.

At 5:48 p.m. Monday, a deputy responded to Valley Plaza Drive in St. Clairsville for a report of a shoplifter in the parking lot at Walmart. The officer did not locate the suspect. Information was taken for a report.

At 5:41 p.m. Monday, a caller reported that he found a body on the riverbank along Ohio 7 near Pipe Creek Road. Several units responded, along with detectives and the Shadyside and Powhatan Point fire departments. Shadyside Fire crews provided auxiliary lighting and ropes to aid in descending and ascending the steep hillside. Moundsville officials launched a boat north of the scene to search the shoreline southbound. Deputies and fire personnel searched the wooded area along the riverbank at the pull off on Ohio 7 extensively, but could not locate a body. A detective spoke with the caller again, and it was believed that the area in question was closer to Pipe Creek Road. This area was searched, as well, but no body was found. Deputies reached out to Barnesville Police and requested that they do a welfare check on a female. Officers made contact with her and her grandmother/guardian. Both were OK – neither were missing, according to the report. The grandmother advised that the caller had a history of making things up like this, calling the police and reporting false allegations. A detective reached out to the caller, told him that his daughter was not missing and that no body was found. The caller stated that he would show a deputy tomorrow where he allegedly saw the body. The search was called off. A deputy collected a written statement.

At 5:29 p.m. Monday, a deputy responded to Addie Way in St. Clairsville for a report of a motor vehicle accident with property damage only.

At 3:31 p.m. Monday, a caller reported domestic trouble with her boyfriend at an address on Brook Avenue in Bellaire.

At 1:37 p.m. Monday, a deputy responded to Plainfield Road in Belmont for a report of an injured deer. At 2:25 p.m., the deer was put down, according to the report.

At 7:51 p.m. Monday, a deputy was out with an Ohio motorist who ran out of gas on Rock Hollow Road in Bellaire. Help arrived while the officer was there.

At 4:11p.m. Monday, a caller reported that she could hear someone in the back yard area at an address on Meadow Avenue in St. Clairsville. Then she heard what she thought was a gunshot. Officers responded. They checked the area, but found no evidence of prowlers.
