At 6:01 p.m. Wednesday, deputies were out at the Bel-Morr Shur Fast on Belmont-Morristown Road with a disabled semi truck that was blocking the road. They were able to get the truck moved out of the roadway, the report stated.

At 3:49 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy was out with a disabled vehicle on Ohio 7 in Shadyside. There was a note on the car saying they would be back, the officer reported.

At 3:13 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy was out at Belle Village Apartments on Patterson Hill Road in Bellaire responding to a call about someone stealing someone’s SSI checks.

At 3:09p.m. Wednesday, a detective on a traffic stop on North Sugar Street in St. Clairsville issued a warning to a motorist for traveling outside of marked lanes.

At 2:36 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to Belmont-Morristown Road in Belmont for a report of a suspicious male who came to a caller’s house and knocked on the door but refused to talk and was acting weird, the report stated. It was possible that someone in a truck picked up the male. A deputy stopped a truck in Belmont, but the person in the truck may not have been the male in question, the report indicated. A warning was given to that driver for improper display and an expired drivers license. The caller was contacted and informed that there was a disabled vehicle down below the yard by the road.

At 1:44 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to an address on Pogue Road in Richland Township for a report of two injured deer. Both were dispatched.

At 1:22 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to an address on Maple Lane in Midway to assist an emergency medical service squad on a call about a male in cardiac arrest. According to the report, CPR was in progress, and the male went with the squad.

At 12:47 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to the Belmont Heights Apartments on Blaine-Chermont Road in Bridgeport for a report of a stolen license plate.

At 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, a teacher’s aid at the Belmont Career Center on Hammond Road in St. Clairsville notified the school resource officer that a student reportedly was in possession of a vape device. Another student had reported it to him, the teacher’s aid noted. The school administrator spoke with the student and conducted a search with a metal detecting wand. A search of a locker was also made. Nothing was located in the searches, according to the report.

At 10:57 a.m. Wednesday, a detective on a traffic stop on National Road in Bridgeport reported that the driver dropped a crack pipe from his pocket.

At 10:54 a.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to an address in Morristown on a request for a welfare check on a student. Contact was made with the father. The child has been sick, and the father was planning to contact the school, according to the report.

At 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to WesBanco on East High Street in Flushing for a report of suspicious males hanging around.

At 9:55 a.m. Wednesday, a deputy assisted at Union Local High School on Belmont-Morristown Road for a report of a female involved in a sexual assault that reportedly happened in Cadiz. A deputy contacted Cadiz Police. The female and her mother were heading to the Cadiz Police Department, according to the report.

At 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, a school suspension teacher at the Belmont Career Center on Hammond Road in St. Clairsville called the school resource office to her classroom to report that two female students may be in possession of vape devices. The students were both walked to a private room. One student immediately admitted to having a vape device and surrendered it to the school resource office. The student advised that she was holding it for another student. She was advised that any possession of such a device is a violation of school conduct. Neither was found on the other student. A disciplinary plan was given to the student with the vape, including three days in CCAP and vaping classes. The device was confiscated and marked for disposal. No criminal charges were being requested as this was the student’s first violation of any kind.

At 9:13 a.m. Wednesday, a caller reported that he used his debit card at a gas station located on Colerain Road in Bridgeport at around 8 p.m. on Jan. 20. Shortly afterward, there were multiple transactions totaling $2,200 that were flagged by his bank. Deputies checked the gas station for any possible card skimmer on the gas pumps.

At 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, the school resource officer at the Belmont Career Center on Hammond Road in St. Clairsville after a teacher reported concerns to the school secretary that a student was possibly intoxicated. The student was falling asleep and acting weirdly, according to the report. The school resource office and a school administrator spoke with the student, who presented with bloodshot eyes, unsteady balance and wide pupils, according to the report. The student offered to take a drug test. The matter was referred to CCAP, as the student was on probation at the time.

At 8:10 a.m. Wednesday, a deputy was on a special detail at Bellaire Elementary School on Pike Street in Bellaire.

At 8 a.m. Wednesday, a caller from Bellaire Elementary School reported that her husband was off his medication, and he is a paranoid schizophrenic. She requested to speak with a deputy. A deputy responded. The nature of the call record was listed as threats or harassment.

At 6:17 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported that a homeowner at an address on National Road in Bridgeport had a vehicle running for an hour. Deputies responded, but the vehicle had since left.

At 10:06 p.m. Thursday, an officer responded to the Pilot Travel Center on Belmont-Morristown Road for a report of a motor vehicle crash with property damage only.

At 8:24 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported that a male at a nursing home on Pleasant Grove Road in Bridgeport was mad and making threats over a smoke break. Staff members subsequently said the male had calmed down and was inside. They were to call back if there were any further issues.

At 7:47 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported that his wife had not returned from work at an address on Mt. Olivett Road in Barnesville. Human resources informed him that she was fired on the previous day and she returned some equipment that day. Information was taken and was shared with the St. Clairsville Police Department. Her vehicle was last seen on flock cameras at 11:26 a.m. on Wednesday near the Ohio Valley Mall. A be-on-the-lookout report was issued for all local agencies. At 11:06 p.m., the caller reported that his wife returned home safely, and the BOLO was canceled.

At 6:38 p.m. Thursday, an officer on a traffic stop on Interstate 70 east near mile marker 213 in Richland Township issued a warning to a motorist for speeding and for driving outside of marked lanes.

At 6:24 p.m. Thursday, a caller from a suicide hotline requested a welfare check on a juvenile who had contacted the line. Officials had obtained an IP address and a zip code of 43713 (Barnesville area). Officials investigated the IP address and details of information provided during the call, but were unable to identify the caller.

At 1:56 p.m. Thursday, a detective was assisting Bellaire Police on a traffic stop on 34th Street in Bellaire. A K-9 gave a positive indication on the vehicle, but nothing was found during a search, and a traffic violation warning was issued.

At 1:20 p.m. Thursday, a complainant from an address on Main Street in St. Clairsville came to the station to report that over the past month, she has been in contact with UPS after they delivered a package to her house that was not hers. She did not want to be accused of theft and wanted a record of her reporting the incident.

At 1:07 p.m. Thursday, a detective on a traffic stop in the Circle K parking lot on Noble Street in Bellaire reported that a K-9 gave a positive indication on the passenger side of a vehicle. Nothing was found during a search. A warning was issued for multiple stop sign violations.

At 12:48 p.m. Thursday, a detective on a traffic stop near Gumby’s on Belmont Street in Bellaire issued a warning to a motorist for a stop sign violation and for failure to signal.

At 11:08 a.m. Thursday, a caller from a care agency on National Road in Belmont reported that a staff member was possibly abusing a client. A deputy took information.

At 8:48 a.m. Thursday, a deputy reported that Ebbert South Road was closed because of ice. Richland Township employees were dealing with the situation. At 8:52 a.m., the road was opened to one lane.

At 8:26 a.m. Thursday, a caller from an address on Morgan Hill Road in St. Clairsville reported that her surveillance camera footage from the previous day showed a male on her front porch trying to open her door. A deputy spoke with the complainant and responded to the residence. The complainant subsequently emailed the deputy and reported that the daughter of the male messaged her and advised that the male had broken down outside of her residence and was knocking for assistance.

At 8 a.m. Thursday, a caller reported ongoing issues between two students at the Belmont Career Center. This involved threats and telecommunication harassment. The report was taken to the school resource office, who spoke with both parties. The issue was documented for a report.

At 7:28 a.m. Thursday, the chief deputy performed a traffic stop on Interstate 70 westbound near mile marker 219 in St. Clairsville. A warning was issued to a West Virginia motorist for driving habits.

At 5:34 a.m. Thursday, a 911 hangup call was received from an address on Crosier Ridge Road in Shadyside. During the call, a faint noise could be heard in the background. An officer reported that all was well, the call was accidental.

At 4:14 a.m. Thursday, a caller reported domestic trouble at an address on West Rustic Drive in St. Clairsville. A caller reported that he and his girlfriend got into a verbal domestic. The caller said that she made threats to hit him with pots and pans. Officers responded. One female was taken to jail.

At 1:18 a.m. Thursday, an officer responded to the Pilot Travel Center on Belmont-Morristown Road in Belmont for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving two freight liners. No injuries were reported. Information was taken for a crash report.

At 12:41a.m. Thursday, deputies were out with a disabled semi on Tinmar Drive in St. Clairsville. Officers used road flares around the vehicle until a towing service arrived for the truck.
