At 11:35 p.m. Tuesday, officers served a felony warrant at an address in Martins Ferry. A male was taken into custody and taken to jail.
At 10:26 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy assisted St. Clairsville Police on a traffic stop on Interstate 70 westbound near the 213 off ramp in St. Clairsville.
At 9:05 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported that two males were going through his vehicle at the Bel Capre Apartments in Bellaire. They took off in a red truck with an unknown male driving. Martins Ferry Police stopped the vehicle on North Seventh Street. When the driver exited the vehicle, a case of Twisted Tea was in plain view, according to the report. The driver informed officers that firearms were in the vehicle and advised them of their location. The driver said an occupant of the vehicle brought the firearms into the vehicle. Martins Ferry Police were handling the traffic stop that involved juveniles, alcohol and firearms, the report stated.
At 9:01 p.m. Tuesday, an officer responded to an address on Pearl Street in Flushing for a report of a female in cardiac arrest, and the female was in an altered mental state, according to the emergency squad. The female was being taken to Trinity Medical Center in St. Clairsville. A male on the scene was upset with officers and was following the EMS to the hospital, according to the report.
At 6:44 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported an open door at a business on Adolph Street in Bridgeport. A deputy and an officer from the Bridgeport Police Department made entry, and the key holder and renter were on their way to the scene. The building was cleared, and nothing appeared to have been taken.
At 5:47 p.m. Tuesday, a sergeant on a traffic stop on Interstate 70 eastbound near mile marker 216 in Richland Township issued a warning to a motorist for reckless operation.
At 4:34 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy performed a welfare check on an individual at an address on Meadow Avenue in St. Clairsville.
At 4:09 p.m. Tuesday, a sergeant assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol to check on a report of a vehicle crash in the area of Bob Evans Restaurant on Mall Road in St. Clairsville.
At 2:46 p.m. Tuesday, a complainant from Main Street in Maynard came to the station to report a problem with a neighbor.
At 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, a complainant from an address on Lockwood Run Road in Bellaire came to the station to report receiving a harassing message via Facebook. A deputy was shown the message, in which the complainant was called a few names, according to the report. But there were no threats made, the officer noted. The deputy advised the complainant on how to obtain a protection order.
At 12:02 p.m. Tuesday, a caller from an address on National Road in Bridgeport reported a generator running non-stop in the area. A deputy responded to the noise complaint and spoke with a male, who said he needed to run it and was getting an eviction notice the next day.
At 11:05 a.m. Tuesday, several officers responded to an address on Hendrysburg-Freeport Road in Piedmont for a report of a locked vehicle with a DOA inside. The vehicle with West Virginia plates was found by an officer from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. The coroner was called to the scene, as was Bill’s Towing. Wheeling authorities were called for contact information on a female, according to the report.
At 11 a.m. Tuesday, deputies and mental health professionals responded to a call at an address on OK Road in Glencoe. An EMS was requested, and a female went voluntarily with the squad.
At 11:29 p.m. Tuesday, a complainant from an address on Winding Hill Road came to the station to report damage to her brick wall at the end of the driveway. The damage was discovered on Feb. 14. It was believed by the complainant to have occurred during the winter storm in January. The damage was not observed before that because of the heavy snow, according to the complainant, who said she believed a plow truck caused the damage.
At 10:02 p.m. Tuesday, several calls came in about a female pulling a gun at Walmart on Valley Plaza Drive in St. Clairsville. All deputies on duty responded. Deputies located the female and took possession of the firearm. The gun was turned over to the Richland Township Police, which took over the investigation. A deputy transported the female to jail.
At 9:55 a.m. Tuesday, a deputy responded to the Rock Hill Cemetery on Patterson Hill Road in Bellaire for a report of a suspicious vehicle – a silver truck with no plates.
At 9:37 a.m. Tuesday, a deputy responded to an address on Belmont Street in Colerain after a caller asked about the consequences for using force against a family member. After speaking with the caller, he denied help and did not want to be checked out, according to the report.
At 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, a caller from an address on Sloan’s Run Road in St. Clairsville reported that lights and wires were stolen off of her work trailer. A deputy responded, and information was taken for a report of larceny.
At 9:16 a.m. Tuesday, a caller from an address on Wright Road in Barnesville reported that his brother stole his trailer while he was in prison. A deputy responded and advised that the trailer was not stolen. Parents gave him permission to use it, according to the report.
