At 11:04 p.m. Wednesday, an officer on a traffic stop on Commerce Parkway in Bellaire reported that a male jumped out of the vehicle with Ohio plates. A large brick was in the back seat that had been thrown through the window by an identified male, according to the report.

At 11 p.m. Wednesday, officers were out with a male who appeared to be under the influence of drugs in the area of Big Lots on National Road in Bridgeport. St. Clairsville Police were called to the scene with a K-9. The male was running, according to the report, which stated he was taken into custody within a minute. A search of the car discovered drug abuse instruments, according to the report. John Joseph Anderson was booked into the Belmont County Jail on charges of persistent disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and possession of drug abuse instruments.

At 9:33 p.m. Wednesday, officers were out assisting Shadyside Police at an address on Riverside Drive in Shadyside with a report of shots fired in the area.

At 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, units on a traffic stop at 38th and Harrison streets received consent to search a vehicle with Ohio license plates. Nothing was found. A written warning was issued for driving with no headlights.

At 7:23 p.m. Wednesday, a caller from an address on Bannock-Uniontown Road in St. Clairsville stated that someone came to the door crying. The caller has this on a Ring camera. At 7:29 p.m., a call from someone else on Bannock-Uniontown Road reported an intoxicated male was knocking on the door demanding to come inside. A deputy responded and was out with the male, who the officer transported to the Bellstore in Bridgeport, according to the report.

At 6:28 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to the Village Network on National Road in Bethesda for a report of two females fighting. One female was taken to the Sargus Juvenile Detention Center, according to the report, which listed the nature of the incident as an assault.

At 5:46 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported that a male had been filming her two young nieces while they were inside the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville. The complainant made security aware about the incident. The deputy advised the complainant that a call record would be on file.

At 4:25 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to an address on Riggs Road in Bellaire for a report of domestic trouble. A caller stated that her husband pushed her. Both parties were separated for the night.

At 4:17 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville for a report of a juvenile there who was banned from the mall. The juvenile left before deputies arrived, according to the report.

At 1:46 p.m. Wednesday, a detective on a traffic stop on Ohio 7 southbound near 48th Street in Pultney Township issued a warning to a motorist for an improper turn.

At 12:55 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to an address on Reco Road in Morristown after a 911 hangup call was received. An individual accidentally dialed 911 after hitting “91” to get an outside line, according to the report. All was fine.

At 12:08 p.m. Wednesday, a caller from an address on Orchard Avenue in Bridgeport reported that he received a suspicious letter. The letter was collected by deputies, and information was taken for a report.

At 12:05 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to an address on National Road in Bridgeport for a report of a male with a dog bite. The animal shelter had the dog, and information was taken for a report.

At noon on Wednesday, a caller complained of semi trucks driving through a church parking lot on Rock Hill in Bellaire several times a day. The caller said he was concerned a truck was going to hit a person or another vehicle, in addition to concerns about potential property damage because of the weight of the vehicles. Signs were posted, and they were told multiple times not to use the lot, according to the report. A deputy attempted to contact the company and was to follow up this week.

At 11:03 a.m. Wednesday, a detective on a special detail was out at an address on Meadow Avenue in St. Clairsville with a representative of Child Protective Services.

At 5:34 a.m. Wednesday, an officer was out with a vehicle in a ditch on Barnesville-Bethesda Road in Goshen Township. There was not damage to the vehicle.
