At 10:01 a.m. Tuesday, a complainant from an address on Sandstone Way in St. Clairsville came to the station to report a missing package that he ordered from eBay. A deputy spoke with him and gathered information for a report.
At 9:02 a.m. Tuesday, a caller from Jefferson County dispatch requested that a welfare check be done at an address on Sunny Lane Drive in Dillonvale. They had not spoke with two females there for a few days. A deputy made contact, and everyone was OK, according to the report.
At 1:21 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported that a male was having mental health issues at an address on Barkcamp Road in Morristown. An officer responded, as did a unit from the Ohio State Highway Patrol. An emergency medical service squad arrived on the scene, and the male was transported by squad to WVU Medicine Reynolds Memorial Hospital.
At 3:05 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to an address on Main Street in Barton on a request for a welfare check on an individual. At 3:31 p.m., contact was made with the individual, and a doctor was also contacted.
At 2:46 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy was out at an address on Grant Street in Martins Ferry assisting units from the Bridgeport Police Department on a call regarding domestic trouble.
At 1:03 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to the parking lot at the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville near Ulta to check on a person in a car slumped over the wheel. The female was OK, according to the report. She was leaning over looking at her phone.
At 12:49 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to an address on Beal Street in Bridgeport for a report of squatters in a house using an extension cord from the neighbor’s house for power. The cord was removed, according to the report.
At 12:48 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded toInterstate 70 west near mile marker 208 in Union Township for a report of an extremely slow-moving truck. The Ohio State Highway Patrol had the truck pulled over before units from the sheriff’s office came in contact with it.
At 12:21 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy on a special detail responded to an address on Oak Street in Bethesda to perform a welfare check on a female. The officer made contact with the female, who was instructed to contact her son.
At 10:33 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a report of a fire at an address on Main Street in St. Clairsville.
At 6:35 a.m. Wednesday, a caller requested extra patrols around her house on Indian Run Road in Bellaire. A vehicle had been sitting down the street from her house, and she was afraid that they were going to break into the house when she left. At 6:48 a.m., the complainant called back and stated that she left for work and could hear her dogs barking through the surveillance camera, and she thought that someone might be at the house. A deputy responded and checked the area for a vehicle, but did not locate one.
At 2:18 a.m. Wednesday, a 911 hangup call was received from the area of Ohio Valley Coal on McGary Road in Alledonia. There was static on the line during the call, and the line was busy upon callback. A sergeant cleared the call, noting that this was an ongoing phone issue.
