Belmont County ‘Celebration of the Arts’ returns

ST. CLAIRSVILLE – The 3rd Annual Belmont County Celebration of the Arts will be held at the Ohio Valley Mall March 26 – 29.

The Celebration includes the Belmont County Schools High School Art Show and the Visual and Performing Arts Showcase.

The Belmont County Schools High School Art Show only: Exhibits will be displayed Thursday, March 26 – Sunday, March 29. Awards will be given in the following categories: Teachers’ Choice Awards – Art teachers determine 1st-5th place.

Teachers do not vote for their own pieces.

From the Teachers’ Choice Winners, the top 3 from each school comprise the “Top 21 Pieces for Belmont County” and receive a Rosette Ribbon and a $20 gift card.

Merit Awards: Teachers will assign 5 ribbons to pieces from their school that do not earn another award.

The People’s Choice Award: The public will vote for their favorite piece from the high school exhibit only. All students receive a Certificate of Participation.

The Visual and Performing Arts Showcase: Artwork from elementary and middle school students will be on display Friday, March 27 – Sunday, March 29.

Performances will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 28.

All are welcome to attend at no charge! Come and enjoy a day at the Ohio Valley Mall and experience the amazing fine arts talents of the Belmont County students.
