At 9:03 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported that her son may be missing, noting that he usually calls her daily. Officers agreed to perform a well check at an address on Main Street in Lloydsville. Central dispatch advised that the male was arrested earlier that day. An officer updated his mother.
At 9:02 p.m. Sunday, Monroe County officials reported a be-on-the-lookout advisory for a stolen vehicle, then later called to advise that they were in pursuit of that vehicle and were headed towards Belmont County. At 9:32 p.m., the vehicle crashed near Temperanceville Highway, Barnesville. Officers and the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded. South Central Power was also called to the scene for downed power lines. A towing company was also called to the scene.
At 8:55 p.m. Sunday, a caller from the Wayne L. Hayes Apartments on Morristown Road in Flushing reported that her neighbor’s dog tried to attack her. She just wanted the incident on record.
At 8:41 p.m. Sunday, a caller from an address on Hendrysburg-Freeport Road reported that his 11-year-old daughter returned from her mother’s, and she had a hand print on her thigh. The daughter said her mother slapped her, according to the complainant. A deputy responded and took information for a report.
At 8:23 p.m. Sunday, a deputy assisted Shadyside Police with a motor vehicle crash on Prospect Avenue in Shadyside.
At 8 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a dispute between himself and his landlord at an address on Adolph Street in Bridgeport. Officers spoke with the caller and the landlord. Both parties were to solve the dispute personally, according to the report.
At 7:13 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a report of a non-injury motor vehicle crash near Chick-fil-a at the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville. Information was taken for a crash report.
At 3:55 p.m. Sunday, a caller from Walmart at the Ohio Valley Plaza in St. Clairsville reported that a male provided false identification in an attempt to scam them. Officers responded, and a report was to follow.
At 11:50 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported that there was a sick raccoon in the back of a nursing home on Bannock Road in St. Clairsville. A deputy responded and found the raccoon, which was injured. But the raccoon ran into the woods, the officer reported.
At 11:46 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported that a customer at Arby’s on Valley Center Boulevard in St. Clairsville was causing a problem and would not leave. Deputies responded, but the male had left before their arrival.
At 9:40 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported that a male was trespassing on his business on Main Street in Lloydsville. The male was charged before, according to the caller. Deputies responded and took the male to jail.
At 12:30 a.m. Sunday, a deputy was out with a semi that was stuck on Reco Road in Belmont. Bill’s Towing was called to the scene.
At 11:38 p.m. Monday, an officer on a traffic stop on National Road in Bridgeport near Riesbeck’s Food Market reportedly was granted consent to search the vehicle. A capsule with a small amount of residue was taken by the officer, who disposed of it. The driver was issued a warning for fictitious plates and was advised that the vehicle was not to be on the roadways. The vehicle was parked on Beal Street.
At 11:18 p.m. Monday, a deputy on a traffic stop on Industrial Drive in Bridgeport near Bridgeport Schools issued a verbal warning to an Ohio motorist for no license plate light.
At 10:05 p.m. Monday, a caller from Belmont County Hoof & Paw requested that a deputy go check on a dog at an address on Hall Street in Maynard. The dog reportedly had been outside for more than 10 hours. An officer responded and made contact with the owner. The dog was observed to be in a cage with food and water.
At 9:08 p.m. Monday, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office requested that a deputy respond to an address in Jerusalem and attempt making contact with an individual with a warrant out of their county. The male was taken into custody and transported to Malaga, where an officer from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office took custody of him.
At 8:49 p.m. Monday, a 911 call was received from an address in Colerain. What sounded like possibly a female crying could be heard in the background of the hangup call. The phone was not accepting incoming calls upon callback. Officers spoke to parents and multiple juveniles. All was well. One of the juveniles accidentally called 911, according to the report.
At 7:29 p.m. Monday, an officer responded to an address on Smith County Road in Flushing for a report of a DOA. The coroner was called to the scene. The propane heater was shut off and the house was secured, according to the report, which stated that the next of kin was notified.
At 5:59 p.m. Monday, a complainant from an address on South Moss Road in Neffs came to the station to report that someone was trespassing on his property. Information was taken for a report.
At 4:35 p.m. Monday, a deputy responded to East Richland Evangelical Friends Church on Friends Church Road in St. Clairsville for a report of a female who was looking for a ride somewhere. The deputy located her and transported her to 16th Street in Wheeling.
At 4:34 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a possible assault on a juvenile at an address in Bridgeport. The nature of the incident was listed as a sex offense. Information was taken, and an individual involved was to contact WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital, the report indicated.
At 3:51 p.m. Monday, a deputy on a traffic stop on Interstate 470 westbound near exit 3 in Richland Township issued a warning to a motorist for traveling outside of marked lanes.
At 2:53 p.m. Monday, officers responded to an address on Beal Street in Bridgeport after a caller complained of people dealing drugs in front of her house. There were two males and one female in a red truck, according to the complainant. Officers responded.
At 2:44 p.m. Monday, a deputy responded to an address on OK Road in Glencoe for a report from a complainant who said a neighbor was using credit cards in her name.
At 1:32 p.m. Monday, a caller from the Wayne Hayes Apartments on Morristown Street in Flushing reported that her neighbor’s dog was aggressive, and the dog owner was doing nothing to stop it from coming after her. The caller wanted it on file. She was referred to the animal shelter, according to the report.
At 10:37 a.m. Monday, an officer responded to an address on Mercer Road in St. Clairsville for a report of a possible abduction. The officer was to contact a mental health agency, according to the report.
At 9:22 a.m. Monday, a caller from Morristown Clinic on Belmont-Morristown Road reported a 39-year-old female with mental health issues. Deputies responded. Officers reported that the female did not meet the “pink slip criteria.” The female was going back to Cameron, W.Va., with a ride.
At 6:15 a.m. Monday, a caller reported a suspicious vehicle at Union Local High School on Morristown-Flushing Road in Belmont. There was a hatchet and a chain inside, according to the caller. A deputy responded. There was a sign in the window stating that they broke down. Officers attempted to contact the owner via Moundsville Police. Officials in Marshall County spoke with another individual, who advised the vehicle was broken down.
At 1:47 a.m. Monday, a caller from an address on Beal Street in Bridgeport complained of a smell of burning trash. A deputy in the area responded and reported that there was a smell but no visible fire or smoke. The caller was advised to contact village council of the fire department for a burn ban or village ordinance.
At 1:32 a.m. Monday, a caller from an address on Lansing Commons Avenue in Bridgeport reported that while backing up, his back tire slid off of the roadway, and he was afraid the vehicle was going to go into the creek. A deputy responded to the scene. The driver was shown how to use 4×4 and low gear and was able to pull back onto the roadway. The driver had called a towing company, but the tow was canceled.
At 12:40 a.m. Monday, a Barnesville Police unit dealing with an intoxicated patient at the WVU Medicine Barnesville Hospital emergency room requested assistance and then was not answering radio checks. Several officers responded. The police officer later answered and canceled the request for assistance. One officer was still responding. Everything was OK, according to the report.
At 11:29 p.m. Tuesday, a caller from an address on Moores Run Road in Bridgeport reported that a neighbor was outside cutting down a tree with a chainsaw and driving a truck through the yard. Officers responded. The male was cleaning up his daughter’s yard and was done with the chainsaw for the night.
At 11:03 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported that he had a cell phone stolen from the casino on Wheeling Island, and the phone was pinging at the Days Inn West on Holiday Drive in St. Clairsville. An officer responded to the hotel in an attempt to contact a person suspected of taking the phone. The officer did not come into contact with the individual.
At 9:08 p.m. Tuesday, an officer on a traffic stop on Main Street in Bridgeport near Pizza Hut issued a citation to a West Virginia motorist for driving with expired tags.
At 8:56 p.m. Tuesday, central dispatch reported that a vehicle was stuck in the driveway at Union Local High School on Belmont-Morristown Road in Belmont. A deputy responded. The vehicle was pulled into the grass. The driver stated that he got lost, and vehicles were driving towards him, so he pulled over. Photos were taken for ruts in the grass, and information was taken. Bill’s Towing responded to pull the vehicle back onto the roadway.
At 7:19 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy on a traffic stop on Interstate 470 eastbound near exit 3 in Bellaire issued a warning to a New York motorist for an equipment violation.
At 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy on a traffic stop on Interstate 70 westbound near mile marker 216 in St. Clairsville issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for speeding.
At 6:54 p.m. Tuesday, an officer responded to the area outside of Tlaquepaque on Valley Plaza Drive in St. Clairsville for a report of a motor vehicle accident with property damage only. Information was taken for a crash report.
At 5:11 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported that a dog had killed multiple chickens at an address in Blaine. A representative from the Belmont County Animal Shelter was contacted.
At 3:42 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy assisted Bethesda Police with a motor vehicle accident on the Interstate 70 on ramp at exit 208.
At 3:08 p.m. Tuesday, a sergeant responded to an address on Pigeon Point Road in Barnesville to do a welfare check on a female there.
At 12:53 a.m. Tuesday, an officer on a traffic stop on the Interstate 70 westbound on ramp near the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for a headlight violation.
At 11:26 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy was out at National Road in St. Clairsville assisting a unit from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
At 11:06 p.m. Wednesday, a caller from an address on Meadow Avenue in St. Clairsville requested a squad, stating that she thought she was poisoned. Officers responded and reported that charges would be sent to the prosecutor’s office against a male after a valid protection order was confirmed, the report indicated.
At 10:46 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a semi stuck in the grass and mud on Reco Road in Belmont. The driver had already called for a tow. There was no damage to anything, an officer reported.
At 11:32 p.m. Wednesday, officers were out at Trumble Street and Highland Avenue in Bellaire on a traffic stop. The Ohio State Highway Patrol was contacted for a sobriety test on an Ohio motorist. The vehicle was moved off of the roadway, and the female driver was with the OSHP.
At 10:02 p.m. Wednesday, an officer on a traffic stop in Martins Ferry near Bob Evan’s Restaurant issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for improper display.
