Belmont County Sheriff’s Office

— 11:52 p.m. — an officer was out at a location on Interstate 470 near St. Clairsville removing a dead deer reported by a caller.

— 10:44 p.m. — an officer on a traffic stop on Main Street in St. Clairsville issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for driving with no taillights. The driver also did not have a driver’s license, and a licensed driver took control of the vehicle, the report indicated.

— 10:24 p.m. — a detective assisted St. Clairsville Police on a traffic stop on Mall Road in St. Clairsville.

— 10:06 p.m. — a caller from an address on Rice Avenue in Bethesda reported hearing a woman yelling for help. Officers responded. A woman was located. She stated her dogs were fighting, and she was yelling at them.

— 10:01 p.m. — an officer was out with a disabled vehicle on Valley Centre Boulevard in St. Clairsville. The Ohio motorist was out of gas. The vehicle was subsequently filled with gas, the report stated.

— 9:34 p.m. — a caller from an address on Chestnut Level Road in Belmont reported having trouble with her neighbor. He was gone before deputies arrived. A deputy advised the caller about getting a temporary protection order. She was advised to call back if the neighbor returned and started things again.

— 8:45 p.m. — a caller from an address on Locust Street in Lansing reported that a neighbor had his pants down and was peeking in the caller’s windows. The caller has this on camera, according to the report. Information was taken for a report.

— 6:35 p.m. — a complainant from South Moss Run Road in Bellaire came to the station stating her brother-in-law was stalking her and her family. This was an ongoing issue, according to the report, which stated that there was a civil stalking protection order pending through the court. She was advised to contact her attorney with the updated photos and information.

— 1:55 p.m. — officers responded to a location on Beech Spring Road in Martins Ferry for a domestic complaint. A woman was locked out of her mother’s house by an uncle, according to the report. All parties were advised that this was a civil matter.

— 1:29 p.m. — a complainant from an address on Everett Turner Dory Mill Road in Bethesda came to the station to report that his daughter’s information was used on someone else’s tax return. A statement was obtained.

— 10:55 a.m. — a deputy on a traffic stop on Addie Way in St. Clairsville reported that a motorist was fine after she ran her vehicle into a pole at CVS. Richland Township Police were also on the scene. A woman was reportedly placed in handcuffs after a prescription in the vehicle was found that did not belong to her. Richland Township had theft charges on the woman, according to the report.

— 10:19 a.m. — a caller from Morristown requested to speak with a deputy about an issue with her daughter. A deputy responded. Information was taken for a report.

— 9:31 p.m. — a deputy was flagged down on Joella Drive in St. Clairsville, where a complainant advised him about a dog running loose in the area. The dog warden was contacted.

— 7:24 p.m. — a caller requested a welfare check on a male at an address on Willow Grove Road in St. Clairsville. Deputies responded. The male did not want to speak with anyone, and all was well, officers reported.

— 6:48 p.m. — a caller from the Sun Shop on National Road at Ohio 331 in St. Clairsville asked to speak to an officer about missing money. Information was taken for a report.

Martins Ferry Police Department

— 1:01 a.m. — officers were out on S 3rd St near Hanover St for a report of a physical domestic dispute between a male and female. Officers placed one male in custody and transported him to Belmont County Jail for domestic violence. All information was taken for a report. All units cleared.

— 2:37 a.m. — officers responded to Jaycee Manor for a noise complaint. Officers spoke with a male through the door of the residence. Officers would follow up with housing in the morning regarding the issue.

— 9:37 a.m. — officers were out at Jaycee Manor regarding a previous incident.

— 10:37 a.m. — officers were out at Laslo Apartments for a noise complaint. Officers spoke with a male and the issue was resolved. At 10:54 a.m., officers were back out at the residence, and the male was issued a citation for disorderly conduct after receiving multiple complaints of loud music playing purposefully.

— 11:11 a.m. — officers were out on Euclid Ave near W Vine St for a parking complaint. Officers issued a parking citation for parking in an alleyway.

— 12:31 p.m. — Martins Ferry PD assisted Bridgeport PD with a traffic stop on Main St near S Lincoln Ave.

— 12:38 p.m. — Martins Ferry PD assisted Martins Ferry SRO with an incident at the school.

— 1:08 p.m. — a male came to the station to speak with an officer regarding a previous incident.

— 1:43 p.m. — officers were out on State Route 7 near Aetna St regarding several calls about asphalt on the roadway. Wilson’s Blacktop cleaned up the highway. All units cleared.

— 2:19 p.m. — a female came to the station to speak with an officer regarding a male on her property with a no-trespass order. Officers went to the 1800 block of N 9th St and placed one male in custody. The male was transported to Belmont County Jail. Officers located narcotics and drug paraphernalia during a search. All units cleared.

— 3:19 p.m. — officers were out on the 600 block of Washington St regarding harassment. Officers spoke with all individuals involved, and the issue was resolved.

— 5:16 p.m. — Martins Ferry PD, Fire and EMS were out on the 1800 block of N 9th St for a possible structure fire.

— 6:21 p.m. — officers conducted a welfare check on a juvenile running down S Zane Hwy. Everything was fine, and the juvenile was escorted back to their residence.

— 6:24 p.m. — officers were out on State Route 7 near Hanover St checking a crash detection alarm. Officers made contact with a female and located her cellphone. Officers advised it was an accidental alarm. All units cleared.

— 6:50 p.m. — a traffic stop was initiated on the 400 block of Aetna St. The driver was identified as a male. A verbal warning was issued for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.

— 6:54 p.m. — officers were out on the 800 block of Seabright’s Ln regarding a dog running at large. Upon arrival, the dog was not loose and was back with its owner.

— 7:04 p.m. — officers were out on S Zane Hwy near Adams St for a verbal domestic inside a vehicle. Officers checked the surrounding area but had negative contact.

— 7:08 p.m. — officers were out on S 3rd St near Hanover St regarding a suspicious male on the property. Officers spoke with the property owner, and the male was given permission to be at the residence. All units cleared.

— 9:55 p.m. — a traffic stop was initiated on State Route 7 near Aetna St. The driver was identified as a female. A verbal warning was issued for a speed violation.

— 10:33 p.m. — officers were out with a suspicious vehicle on the 600 block of N 1st St. Officers identified a male and female inside the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted with negative findings. The individuals were advised to move the vehicle due to it being on private property.

— 11:16 p.m. — officers were out on the 1000 block of Indiana St with a suspicious vehicle flashing headlights and taillights with no alarm. Officers made contact with the vehicle owner. All units cleared.
