— 10:28 p.m. Thursday: A caller from an address on Patterson Hill Road in Bellaire reported that her back door had been kicked in. No one was inside. An officer responded. The door was secured, and they were to advise the manager of the apartments. The complainant just wanted the report of a breaking and entering on file.
— 9:27 p.m. Thursday: A male on Pike Street in Neffs reported that two males shot at him and left in white vans. The complainant named the males who he said shot at him. Several officers responded, as did units from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Bellaire Police Department and Bridgeport Police Department. A detective with the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that multiple shell casings were found outside an address along Ohio 149. Units patrolled the area and went to an address on Ohio 149, but there was no answer at the door, according to the report, which stated a male appeared to have left through the area of the creek. A detective advised that there was no shooting, the report concluded.
— 9:24 p.m. Thursday: A caller from Country Lake Drive in St. Clairsville reported suspicious activity at a house that was for sale. Two vehicles were in the driveway, and people had been there for about 20 minutes looking like they were trying to get inside, according to the caller. The neighbor requested extra patrols.
— 9:03 p.m. Thursday: A deputy responded to Sand Hill Road in Neffs for a report of a male laying on the side of the road. The officer did not locate the male.
— 6:50 p.m. Thursday: Units responded to Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill on Valley Frontage Road in St. Clairsville for a report of a suspicious female walking around the business. Deputies said the female was there waiting for a group of 12 people, and all was well.
— 6:49 p.m. Thursday: A deputy transported a prisoner from the Belmont County Jail to Trinity Hospital in St. Clairsville. They returned to jail at 8:21 p.m.
— 6:24 p.m. Thursday: A caller reported that a male shot two females with an Orbeez gel blaster gun. A deputy responded to an address on National Road in St. Clairsville. Information was taken for a report.
— 5:32 p.m. Thursday: Several officers responded to a location in Martins Ferry to assist police units with warrant service on one male and one female. The male reportedly had possession of a firearm. One male and one female were taken into custody. Other assisting units were canceled. The individuals were both taken to jail.
— 4:20 p.m. Thursday: A sergeant was out at Valley Plaza Drive in St. Clairsville near Pet Supplies Plus for a report of dogs in a vehicle. According to the officer, the dogs were not in distress.
— 3:28 p.m. Thursday: An officer was out with a female who was laying on top of a car at an address on Glenns Run Road in Martins Ferry. All was OK, according to the officer, who said she was sunbathing.
— 2:32 p.m. Thursday: A detective on a traffic stop on Red Roof Lane in St. Clairsville was assisted by units from the Richland Township Police Department. A written warning was issued to a motorist for driving left of center. Two baggies found under one of the seats in the vehicle were taken, and charges were pending, the report indicated.
— 2:03 p.m. Thursday: A deputy responded to National Road in Brookside near AutoZone for a report of a two-car accident with property damage only. Parties exchanged insurance cards. Information was taken for a call record.
— 9:25 a.m. Thursday: Deputies responded to National Road in Morristown after a caller from the Village Network reported that a juvenile was on National Road and would not come back. Units located the male, charged him as a runaway and transported him to the Sargus Juvenile Detention Center.
— 7:03 a.m. Thursday: A caller from an address on Markatan Street in Flushing reported that a window was broken out and money was stolen from a vehicle there. Officers responded and took information for a report. At 10:03 a.m., central dispatch received another call near that area, with the caller reporting that a tackle box had been taken from an unlocked vehicle. Officers responded, and information was taken for an investigation.
— 2:20 p.m. Thursday: A caller from Beal Street in Bridgeport reported that his neighbors — a male and female — were getting high outside, and he told them to stop. The caller and the male had a verbal argument before the neighbor left in a vehicle. Deputies patrolled the area, but did not locate the vehicle. Officers spoke with the complainant, who said he did not want to get involved and did not want to make a statement, the report indicated.
