MARTINS FERRY -- Martins Ferry City Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, in Council Chambers at the City Building. The meeting is open to the public.
Bridgeport school board schedules special meeting
BRIDGEPORT -- The Bridgeport Exempted Village School District Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at the Bridgeport Administration Office, 55781 National Road.
The meeting will serve as a work session to discuss the Bridge ribbon-cutting ceremony. No voting action will be taken.

BRIDGEPORT -- The Bridgeport Exempted Village School District Board of Education’s special meeting scheduled for Aug. 3 at 6 p.m. has been moved to 5 p.m. The meeting will be held at the district office, 55781 National Road.
Union Local school board to meet Aug. 20
BELMONT -- The Union Local School District Board of Education will hold its regular meeting at 5 p.m. Aug. 20 in the high school Learning Center.
Belmont-Harrison vocational board to meet Aug. 17
ST. CLAIRSVILLE -- The Belmont-Harrison Vocational School District Board of Education will hold its regular August meeting at 6 p.m. Aug. 17 at the Belmont Career Center, 68090 Hammond Road.
The public also may view the meeting online through a link on the Belmont-Harrison Vocational School District website or Facebook page.
Jefferson County Veterans Service Commission to meet
STEUBENVILLE -- The Jefferson County Veterans Service Commission will hold its regular monthly meeting at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 12 at 500 Market St., Suite 310.
All veterans and interested parties are welcome to attend.
Flushing Township announces meeting schedule
FLUSHING -- Flushing Township trustees will hold regular meetings at 7 p.m. on the first and third Monday of each month in 2026 at the Flushing Township Garage.
If a meeting date is rescheduled, the public will be notified.
Mental Health and Recovery Board report available
ST. CLAIRSVILLE -- The Mental Health and Recovery Board announced its fiscal year 2025 annual board report is available.
Copies may be picked up at the board office, 104 Newell Ave., St. Clairsville, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
