Colerain trustees to meet Thursday
ST. CLAIRSVILLE -- Colerain Township trustees will hold a special meeting at 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at the township complex, 70730 Crescent Road, to discuss quotes for paving Township Road 1330, East Road.
No other business will be discussed. The meeting is open to the public.

Franciscan criminal justice career fair set for Friday
STEUBENVILLE -- Franciscan University of Steubenville will host its sixth annual Criminal Justice Career Fair from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at the Pope St. Paul VI Event Center in Christ the Teacher Hall.
The free event will feature more than 30 local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, law schools, military branches and private-sector organizations. It is open to Franciscan students, high school students, prospective students, job seekers and members of the regional community.
Exhibitors will include the Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, IRS Criminal Investigation, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Pennsylvania State Police, Ohio Division of Wildlife Law Enforcement Section and numerous county and municipal agencies.
Representatives from the U.S. Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Navy and Air Force ROTC also will attend, along with several law schools and private security organizations.
An alumni corner will feature Franciscan graduates working or retired from criminal justice agencies. Students also will demonstrate self-defense techniques through the university’s Lambda Alpha Epsilon criminal justice honor society.

Belmont clerk reports August activity
ST. CLAIRSVILLE -- Belmont County Clerk of Courts Laura A. Zupko reported 306 new cases filed in the Legal Department during August, bringing the year-to-date total to 2,328.
The August total included 75 certificates of judgment, 40 civil cases, 29 criminal cases, 27 domestic violence cases, 115 tax lien imports, nine dissolutions, eight domestic relations cases and three court of appeals cases.
The Legal Department collected $13,027.45 in fees and $2,520.22 in interest fees during August.
Belmont County Title Office issues 1,953 titles
The Belmont County Title Department issued 1,953 certificates of title in August, bringing its year-to-date total to 16,226.
The department reported 1,018 used cars, 368 used pickup trucks, 214 new cars, 80 motorcycles, 64 new pickup trucks and 34 travel trailers among the titles issued.
The Title Department collected $44,377.23 in fees and $551.71 in interest fees during August.
Belmont Planning Commission to meet
ST. CLAIRSVILLE -- The Belmont County Planning Commission will meet at noon Monday, Sept. 28, at Annex III, 101 N. Market St.
