Bellaire committee meetings scheduled
The Village of Bellaire has scheduled several committee meetings, all to be held Tuesday, Oct. 6 in council chambers on the second floor of the municipal building. There will be a Street, Building, and Property Committee meeting at 9:30 a.m., a Working Meeting with Fiscal Officer/Council at 10 a.m., and a Health and Safety Committee meeting at noon.
Belmont-Harrison VSD BOE to meet
The Belmont-Harrison Vocational School District Board of Education will conduct its regular October board meeting on Monday, Oct. 19, at 6 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Belmont Career Center, located at 68090 Hammond Road, St. Clairsville, OH 43950. Burning Springs history the topic at Moundsville Library
An incredible and little-known event of the Civil War will be discussed at the Moundsville-Marshall County Public Library on October 12, Monday, at noon when Judi Tarowsky presents "Burning Springs: The Forgotten Story." This is a new date since the previously scheduled performance had to be cancelled. This fascinating and informative program is aimed at adults and students and will take place on the main floor.

There will be a free film showing on Tuesday, October 13, at the Moundsville-Marshall County Public Library. The start time will be 5:30 p.m., in the downstairs meeting room.
The feature is “Good Fortune,” a fantasy-dark comedy starring Keanu Reeves as a well-meaning but rather inept angel meddling in lives. This 2025 film is rated R and runs for 97 minutes. Call 304-845-6911 for more information. The Moundsville Library is located at the corner of 5th and Tomlinson.
Jefferson Veterans Service Commission to meet
The regular monthly board meeting of the Jefferson County Veterans Service Commission will be Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. at 500 Market Street Suite 310, Steubenville, OH 43952. All veterans or interested parties are welcome to attend.
Township Trustee meeting Oct. 8
The annual Belmont County Township Trustee meeting will be held at the Wise Building at the Belmont County Fairgrounds on Oct. 8. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the meeting begins at 6 p.m. Dinner will be served.
