WHEELING – After weeks of snow drifts, gray skies and barren landscape, a colorful event is set to bloom late next month at The Highlands Sports Complex. A spring craft show, organized by KC Productions, will take place March 27-29 at the complex. Wheeling Fire Department fights house fire

There were no injuries as a result of a house fire on Virginia Street in Wheeling, Wheeling Fire Department spokesman Philip Stahl said. Wheeling Firefighters were called to Virginia Street at approximately 9:40 a.m. Monday morning for a reported structure fire. Crews located the fire in the rear of the home on the first floor and immediately began extinguishing the flames. Firefighters quickly brought the situation under control, and the occupant was not injured. No other injuries were reported.
