Woman arrested for allegedly falsely claiming she was stabbed

MOUNDSVILLE — The woman who called police last week for help after allegedly being stabbed is now facing charges herself. Victoria Wade, a Marshall County resident, has been arrested for allegedly falsely reporting an emergency incident and obstructing, both misdemeanors, said Moundsville Police Department Chief Tom Mitchell. On Dec. 11, Wade reported that a man who tried to steal her purse in the Moundsville Plaza parking lot also stabbed her.
