BELMONT COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT At 5:08 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy responded to Barnesville-Hendrysburg Road near Harry Dew Road in Barnesville at the request of the Ohio State Highway Patrol to check on a motor vehicle crash. Vehicles were stuck, and the officer shut down the top of the hill to await the Ohio Department of Transportation to treat the road. Several accidents had been reported in the wake of a snow storm. Santa Claus coming to toy and train museum

WHEELING — The Kruger Street Toy and Train Museum is gearing up for multiple visits from Old St. Nick. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will stop by the Museum for three consecutive Saturdays – Dec. 6, 13 and 20 – to take pictures with all the good little boys and girls. Visiting and taking pictures with Santa are free of charge, and admission to the museum is separate. Wheeling Central Catholic food drive happens Dec. 13

WHEELING — Students and staff at Wheeling Central Catholic High School are asking Wheeling residents for the 60th consecutive holiday season to place a bag of donated canned and boxed food items on their porch next week.
