Workers with Raze International clean up and haul away debris from demolition of the old Thomas Jones Law Office building in Bridgeport.

BRIDGEPORT — Demolition of the old Thomas Jones Law Office building on Main Street in the village is underway.

The demolition company Raze International began razing the building on Monday morning. Crew members were hauling away debris and cleaning up the scene towards the end of the workday on Tuesday.

Project Manager Doug McFarland said they will be finished with the tear down this Friday.

McFarland said the owner of the building is having it torn down in order to convert the area into a parking lot for their office next door.

Dr. Charles Kenneth Dematte owns the building being demolished. Dematte’s General Dentistry office is next door.
