New era dawns in Harrison County

A new era in education began in Harrison County on Saturday as a ribbon-cutting ceremony took place for the new $65M school building that will house students in all grades of the Harrison Hills City School District. Board members, state and county officials, construction representatives, teachers, community members and other dignitaries attended a ceremony marking the facility’s opening, then toured the building, which houses elementary and high school students. For more on how the building’s athletic facilities are making a difference, see a story on Page B1. T-L Photo/RICK THORP
