Ohio schools closed through May 1

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Gov. Mike DeWine on Monday afternoon extended the order closing public schools in the state, announcing that they will remain closed through May 1.

DeWine made the move one day after President Donald Trump said social distancing recommendations for the entire nation would remain in place through April. Ohio has gone a step further,ordering residents to stay at home unless conducting essential business.
