CADIZ — Dr. Daniel Palermo, board-certified surgeon, joined the staff at Harrison Community Hospital.

Formerly chief of the Department of Surgery for Ohio Valley Medical Group, Palermo specializes in general surgery, laparoscopy, diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower endoscopy. He is board certified in general surgery and is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons. Palermo is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons.

After receiving his medical degree in 2000 from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Palermo completed residency at Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies.

Before locating to the Wheeling area, he was medical director of Trauma Services at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Northwest.

At HCH, Palermo sees patients in Suite 4 of the Professional Building, 943 E. Market St., Cadiz. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Call 740-942-6322.
