A home in Crescent was destroyed by fire about 1:49 a.m. Tuesday.

Jeff Gazdik of the Barton Volunteer Fire Department said the home was located at 71362 Front St. in Colerain Township. Firefighters from both Barton and Colerain responded, in addition to the Belmont County Tanker Task Force.

“No one was home at the time of the fire and the home was a total loss. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. Firefighters cleared the scene at 4:45 a.m.,” Gazdik said in a press release.
