Two arrested on drug charges in St. C.

ST. CLAIRSVILLE – An extensive narcotics investigation by the St. Clairsville Police Department and the Belmont County Major Crimes Unit resulted in the arrests of two people on Monday, according to Police Chief Matt Arbenz.

Megan Funkhouser, 33, of St. Clairsville and Billy Clark, 28, of Oklahoma were arrested during a traffic stop in the city and taken to jail Monday. Charges against them include trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs, felonies of the first, second and third degrees. Arbenz said the investigation resulted in the seizure of more than an ounce of methamphetamine and more than 2 ounces of suspected heroin and fentanyl.

Police believe Funkhouser and Clark have been trafficking large amounts of methamphetamine and other dangerous drugs in the St. Clairsville and Belmont County area.
