Crash on Interstate 70 claims man’s life
MORRISTOWN — One person is dead and another seriously injured because of a multiple vehicle accident that occurred about 7 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 70, according to published reports.
The driver of a tractor-trailer died after his vehicle struck another tractor-trailer traveling in front of him. This fatal accident occurred after an unrelated accident occurred earlier, causing traffic to back up on the interstate.
I-70 east was closed Wednesday evening as the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the crashes at mile markers 203 and 207. Traffic was rerouted through Barnesville as responders tended to victims at the scene. No more information was available at press time.
