The Wolfhurst Volunteer Fire Department trains beneath the Blaine Hill viaduct on U.S. 40 this past weekend. Member Mike Bianconi said the members use the Creek to practice techniques for battling blazes without access to city or county water. He added that the department appreciates any support it receives from the community and is always seeking new members.
