BELMONT ­– The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is investigating the death of a 40-year-old Wheeling man who was found deceased Friday in the lake at Barkcamp State Park.

Stephanie O’Grady, media and outreach specialist at ODNR, said the man has been identified as Thomas J. Piccard of Wheeling.

Piccard’s body was discovered around 8:30 a.m. Friday. Officials did not specify who discovered the body.

O’Grady said no foul play is suspected at this time in Piccard’s death.

ODNR continues to investigate the incident and is being assisted by Bethesda EMS and other Belmont County officials.

No additional information had been released at press time Monday.
