BELMONT — Ohio 149 was closed late Saturday afternoon due to a serious auto accident.

The crash between a Toyota Tundra and Hyundai Touring occurred just north of Barkcamp Road. It appeared that the vehicles collided head-on, with the car overturning. The driver of the car was trapped inside for some time.

The Belmont and Bethesda fire departments responded, along with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Belmont County Sheriff’s Department and Bethesda police.
