BELMONT — Village Police Chief Andrew Miller confirmed the Ohio 149 is open again just north of Belmont after it was closed while crews battled a barn fire.
Fire departments from Belmont, Bethesda and Barnesville have been on the scene of a fire that destroyed a horse barn early Tuesday evening, but no injuries have been reported.
Ohio 149, Belmont-Morristown Road, was closed just north of Belmont while firefighters battle the flames. Fire engines, hoses and equipment were preventing traffic from passing through.
No people or animals have been injured, according to officials. The property owner said all animals were safely removed, but equipment and personal possessions were lost as a result of the blaze.
