Robert Alan “Bob” Kacsmar, 75, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died April 9, 2021.

He was born July 18, 1945 in Maynard, Ohio, a son of the late Michael J. Kacsmar and Mary Vesely Kacsmar.

Bob was a retired accountant from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and a U.S. Army veteran. He was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Martins Ferry.

He was a caring and loving husband, dad and grandfather. Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, and telling jokes.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles M. Kacsmar.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Judy A. Kacsmar; four sons, Michael E. (Amber) Kacsmar, Robert M. (Cheryl) Francis, David E. (Mialinda) Francis and Gregory A. (Michele) Francis; eight grandchildren, Kade Kacsmar, Betsy Knorr, Nicole Francis, Justin Francis, Courtney Francis, Maddie Francis, Zachary Francis and Mollie Francis; a great granddaughter, Lucy Knorr; two brothers, Thomas J. (Marge) Kacsmar and James F. (Carolyn) Kacsmar; nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, social distancing and facial coverings are required during a Memorial Funeral Liturgy with Mass to be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Martins Ferry, Ohio on Saturday at 11 am with Father Thomas Marut the celebrant.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary’s Catholic Church or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
