DeFelice to open Newark franchise
DeFelice Bros. Pizza will celebrate the opening of its ninth franchise Monday, holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday at its new location in Newark, Ohio.
“It is a great area with a lot of great people,” said DeFelice Bros. Pizza President Dominic DeFelice. “Franchisee Scott Hannig is a friend who grew up in the Ohio Valley, where we are based. He is an intelligent, hard-working individual who brings a lot of energy to his store.”
Attendees will be able to tour the location and also sample items from the extensive menu, which includes pizza, pasta, salads, sub sandwiches and calzones.
The restaurant was founded in 1982 by brothers Dominic and T.J. in their hometown of Shadyside, Ohio, and has since expanded to locations all over the Ohio Valley.
“Both my wife and I grew up enjoying DeFelice Bros. Pizza, and now we are very excited to bring it to our community to share it with our friends and neighbors,” Hannig said.
“It has been a long journey to establish operations, but we are overly grateful for all of the support and positive feedback that we have already received.”
This location will join eight others in Ohio and West Virginia, including: Martins Ferry, Shadyside, St. Clairsville and Wintersville (Ohio) and Bethlehem, Follansbee, Moundsville and Wheeling (West Virginia). DeFelice Bros. Pizza offers delivery and carry-out from an extensive menu, as well as catering for banquets, weddings and events.
