MARTINS FERRY — A new nail salon and spa now resides in the city and is hoping to provide its customers with an ideal environment, short wait times and professional nail art.
Boujee Nails and Spa officially opened its doors at its new Martins Ferry location in early May. T. Thai, owner of the Boujee Nails and Spa, said the staff held the salon’s grand opening May 7 and they offered an array of promotions to welcome in new customers.
“We’ve had steady business since opening,” he added.
The salon offers nail and foot care, gel and dip nails, nail enhancements and waxing services in a relaxing atmosphere. It also has special pricing for children 10 years old and younger who would like to get a manicure, pedicure or nail polish change.
Thai said the nail shop offers a sanitary atmosphere with professional nail care and spa services.
He said the shop specializes in specialty acrylic nail art similar to what is seen on Instagram and Pinterest. He said his team of nail artists uses the finest nail lacquers to create innovatively designed manicures.
Thai said he wanted to open up a shop where the customer enjoys their entire experience from start to finish. He said workers ensure they are not overbooked and customers do not have to experience a long wait time.
“We want to make sure the customer has the best experience possible,” he added.
He said he chose to open up shop in Martins Ferry because of the friendly people in the area.
He said he hopes the shop helps to bring people and business back to the city.
Mandy Rice of Rayland has been a loyal customer since the salon opened. She said it has become her “go-to” salon to get both manicures and pedicures.
“I love this place,” she said of the shop.
The nail salon, located at 301 S. Fourth St., is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
