Monroe County Sheriff’s Office probes death of Ohio Township resident

Two others arrested on drug charges

OHIO TOWNSHIP — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office recently announced the arrest of two men on drug charges after one of the individuals contacted law enforcement to report a deceased man at a house in Ohio Township.

According to a release by Sheriff Charles Black Jr., Mike Stansberry contacted the sheriff’s office around 7 p.m. Sept. 22 stating he discovered a deceased man at the residence. Stansberry told officers he believed the man had overdosed on drugs. When officers arrived on scene they observed that the man had been dead for some time.

During the investigation, search warrants were obtained for the location. Officers discovered methamphetamine, paraphernalia and approximately 40 grams of heroin.

Stansberry, 51, and Robert Glendenning Jr., 50, were arrested and charged with possession of drugs and possession of drug abuse instruments. Both individuals were later released from the Monroe County Jail on an OR bond.

The case remains under investigation.
