Martins Ferry resident Thomas Burt drowned Monday in Cheat Lake, according to a report from WV Metronews, citing information from the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department.

Burt, 37, was found early Monday afternoon in the lake just south of the overpass of Interstate 68.
