Four arrested on drug charges in Belmont County

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The Belmont County Criminal Interdiction Unit executed a search warrant Richland Township late Thursday night and closed an ongoing investigation with the arrest of four people and seizure of narcotics.

Detectives reportedly seized cocaine, methamphetamines, marijuana, and more than 1,000 multi-colored pills suspected to be MDMA, along with cash, scales and other drug paraphernalia.

Stanley Smith, 36, of Cleveland was arrested on first-degree felony drug charges and misdemeanor drug-related charges.

Aubrey Kemp, 21, of Bethesda was also arrested on first-degree felony drug charges and misdemeanor drug-related charges. She and Smith are being held on a bond of $41,000.

William Morgan, 48, of St. Clairsville was arrested on fifth-degree felony drug charges and misdemeanor drug-related charges. He is being held on a $5,750 bond.

Rickie Temple, 57, no address listed, was arrested on misdemeanor drug charges and posted a $750 bond.

Belmont County Sheriff David Lucas said the case stemmed from a call by a concerned citizen. He encourages anyone who observes suspicious activity to call the drug tip line at 740-695-3784.
