BARNESVILLE -- WVU Medicine Barnesville Hospital hosted a Donate Life flag raising ceremony on Tuesday.

The ceremony included April Lopez, donation program coordinator at Lifeline of Ohio, and a donor recipient.

"This flag is raised in honor of the thousands of donor heroes and their loved ones, who've said 'yes' to donation -- a 'yes' that saved and healed countless lives," Lopez said. "It will fly with gratitude for their decision and a promise to continue honoring their legacies."

Lopez went on to talk about the importance of donation and the impact that it has throughout the state of Ohio and the country.

Timothy St. Clair and his wife, Kathy, also took part in the ceremony. Tim St. Clair, a veteran, received a liver transplant in November 2014, and he spoke about his transplant experience and what it has meant for him.
