BROOKSIDE — Three people are in the Belmont County Jail after detectives found a large amount of narcotics in a Brookside home.
Belmont County Sheriff David Lucas issued a news release stating that the search warrant was served on Chestnut Street in the village by the sheriff’s Criminal Interdiction Unit.
“Detectives assigned to the unit seized a large number of narcotics including the deadly drug fentanyl,” Lucas wrote.
He said detectives found 100 pressed fentanyl pills, more than 400 “stamp bags” of fentanyl, an ounce of methamphetamine, and ounce of “raw” fentanyl and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia. They also seized about $2,000 that Lucas said came from “illegal drug proceeds.”
Daniel Clark, 35, of Brookside was arrested and charged with multiple counts of possession of and trafficking in drugs, as well as for a warrant for attempted possession of drugs.
Brittany Mundi, 38, of Brookside was charged with multiple counts of possession of and trafficking in drugs, child endangerment and permitting drug abuse.
Robert McMasters, 32, of Brookside was charged with obstructing official business and possession of methamphetamine.
Lucas noted that there are additional suspects in this case and said detectives will be seeking additional charges on those individuals.
