A ‘berry’ good time in Martins Ferry

It appears that a good time was had by all who were fortunate enough to visit downtown Martins Ferry on Saturday afternoon and evening.

Martins Ferry Lions Club members, from left, Michael Deleonardis, Shaye Deleonardis and Leygh-Ann Anderson grill burgers and hot dogs during the event. The festival, an old Purple City tradition that had been discontinued, was revived by Project Forward, a business district revitalization organization that formed in the wake of a 2016 fire that destroyed several businesses.
