SUMMER IS in full swing in Eastern Ohio and across the country with sweltering heat and humidity in the local forecast for today.
The National Weather Service of Pittsburgh issued a heat advisory for today for the entire Ohio Valley. According to the NWS, between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. today it will feel as hot as 104 degrees. Temperatures that high can cause heat-related illnesses.
Cooling centers are available around the region for anyone needing to escape extreme heat. Masks may be required at the cooling centers at all times.
