BARNESVILLE — WVU Medicine Barnesville Hospital is now offering Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (eTMS) for veterans, first responders and law enforcement officers with a variety of neurological conditions.

eTMS is a highly customized use of TMS based on sophisticated diagnostics. It is a non-invasive, painless and drug-free option for the treatment of substance use disorders, mental illness, sleep disorders, traumatic brain injuries, sexual trauma, posttraumatic stress disorder and accompanying comorbidities, concussions or other brain trauma. It can also treat other issues identified by the individual’s qualified medical provider as those that would warrant treatment under the program.

Barnesville Hospital began offering TMS services in June through a partnership with the state of Ohio. To learn more about the program, visit ETMSOhio.com.
