CLARINGTON -- Clair Tavern and Grill will host its fourth-annual benefit and poker run to support Crossed Paws Animal Shelter on Saturday.
Registration will start at 10 a.m., and the first vehicle will leave at 11 a.m. The last vehicle will leave Clair Tavern and Grill at 1 p.m. All drivers will return to Clair Tavern and Grill by 5 p.m.
The first stop will be at Woodsfield Fraternal Order of Eagles located at 200 North Main St. in Woodsfield.
Drivers will then make their way to Starr Bar and Carryout located at 29737 Miltonsburg-Calais Road in Quaker City.
The next stop will be at the Barnesville Veterans of Foreign Wars building at 129 South Chestnut St. in Barnesville. Drivers will then go to Beallsville to JLK Carry Out Bar and Grill on 56709 Belmont Ridge Road, and finally, drivers will stop at Riverside Restaurant and Bar at 150 First St., in Powhatan Point before returning to Clair Tavern and Grill.
The benefit will feature 50/50 raffles, auctions, a t-shirt sale, food and music. T-shirts will cost $16 for sizes small-extra large and $18 for sizes 2XL and up.
Poor Man's Heaven, a Rayland band specializing in '60s and '70s classics, will perform from 7-11 p.m.
Those who wish to participate in the poker run must pay $20 for a single rider or $30 for a rider and a passenger. All vehicles are welcome.
Everyone who participates in the poker run with also receive a free drink sleeve.
Raffle tickets can be purchased in advance at Clair Tavern and Grill and cost $1 each or six for $5.
All proceeds from the event will support Crossed Paws Animal Shelter.
The rain date for the event is Sunday.

Crossed Paws Animal Shelter is a nonprofit organization serving the animals and people of Monroe County. All positions are volunteer, and the shelter receives no monetary support from state, federal or local entities. The shelter obtains all of its funding through holding fundraisers, community support, membership fees and grants which go directly back into the shelter to take care of the animals and for shelter upkeep and utilities.
The shelter is located at 41383 Stonehouse Road in Woodsfield.
