SHADYSIDE — A late afternoon blaze consumed the home of a Shadyside couple on Tuesday, but only minor injuries resulted.

OR&W Fire Chief R.C. Fellows said the structure was fully involved when his department arrived at the scene, resulting in the destruction of the house, a garage and a camper on the property. One resident was home at the time, and she was treated by a responding emergency squad for smoke inhalation and released at the scene, he said. Her husband said the woman also suffered minor burns.

The fire was still burning Tuesday evening, and additional details will be released after the flames are extinguished.
