Club member Mark Froehlich, a key organizer of the centennial celebration, received accolades and some good-natured teasing about his enthusiasm for all things Rotary during the event.
A crowd of around 100 people packs the Elks Lodge 1699 hall in Barnesville to mark the occasion. The program included special music by Millard Neal, dinner by The Home Towner Cafe, a proclamation by Mayor Dale Bunting and remarks by speakers such as Past District 6690 Govs. Bart Mahoney and Craig Maxey, District Gov. David hl and Past Rotary International Director Floyd Lancia. The Barnesville club was chartered on July 21, 1923.
