Man shot in the face on I-470 Pultney Township

St. CLAIRSVILLE – The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s St. Clairsville Post is investigating a shooting that occurred on Interstate 470 in Pultney Township.

The post received a 911 phone call at about 10:37 p.m. Tuesday that a driver of a commercial truck had been shot near mile marker three, on the westbound side of travel.

The victim, Michael Brundage of Ellenboro, West Virginia, reportedly suffered a gunshot wound to the face. He was transported by ambulance to WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling for further treatment. The victim was reportedly alert and conscious at the time.

Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Cambridge District Office of Criminal Investigations responded to the scene to assist the St. Clairsville post in investigating the shooting. Also assisting at the scene was the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office and Neffs first responders.
