Two cars involved in a collision Monday afternoon rest alongside the guardrail on U.S. 40 as the Ohio State Highway Patrol investigates. Troopers said both drivers who were involved were taken to WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital by ambulance for treatment of their injuries. The accident happened when a car heading east on U.S. 40 collided with a vehicle approaching from Belmont County Road 214. The area of National Road where the accident happened was temporarily closed in both directions.
