Belmont County declares ‘State of Emergency’ due to flooding

ST. CLAIRSVILLE – The Belmont County Board of Commissioners held an emergency meeting Friday morning to declare a state of emergency for Belmont County. The declaration comes on the heels of multiple townships being flooded by heavy rainfall this past week. It will loosen restrictions and allow officials to purchase equipment and supplies to mitigate flood damage and assist with recovery.
