Man arrested in I-470 roadside shooting
ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Belmont County Prosecutor Kevin Flanagan announced that Malcom Alcindor Williams was arraigned today in the Belmont County Court of Common Pleas. Williams was arrested in Michigan earlier this month on a warrant from an indictment by a Belmont County grand jury. Williams is alleged to have shot a truck driver on Interstate 470 after the trucker’s vehicle became disabled. Williams is also a truck driver. The incident occurred on Jan. 30.
Flanagan credited the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a very thorough investigation, which ultimately led to the indictment.
Given the pendency of the matter, no further information can be released until trial, said Flanagan.
